Silverado / Sierra Exhaust Systems
A cat-back is the most common first exhaust upgrade on a Silverado or Sierra - and the most common ordering mistake is ignoring cab and bed configuration. This page pulls together every Silverado 1500 / Sierra 1500 cat-back we currently have in stock: 24 systems from Flowmaster, MBRP, Corsa, Borla, DynoMax, Gibson and Pypes, for trucks from 1988 through 2025, from $444.99 to $1,849.99. Every product listed is in stock and ready to ship, and every order over $200 ships free.

START WITH YEAR, ENGINE, CAB AND BED
Cat-back fitment on these trucks is decided by four things, and every listing on this page names them: model year, engine, cab style and bed length. The listings use the factory shorthand - RC (regular cab), EC (extended cab), CC (crew cab), SB (short bed), LB (long bed) - and a system bent for one combination will not fit another, even in the same model year. The generations on this page run from the 1988-99 trucks (Flowmaster Force II and American Thunder systems for regular and extended cabs) through 1999-2006, 2007-13, 2014-18 (plus the 2019 Limited), 2019-25, and the newest 2024-25 Borla S-Type systems. Engines covered are the 4.3L V6 and the 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L and 6.2L V8s, exactly as each listing states. Check all four against your truck before ordering - and if your combination is not spelled out in a listing, call us before you buy.
CAT-BACK, DEFINED
A cat-back system replaces everything from the catalytic converter outlet back: intermediate pipe, muffler and tailpipe(s). The catalytic converter itself stays in place, which is why cat-backs are the standard street-truck upgrade. Every system on this page is a cat-back, in diameters from 2-3/4 in to 3.5 in per the listings, with single side, single rear, dual side and dual rear exits across the range. The named series are the manufacturers' own: Flowmaster Force II, American Thunder, Outlaw and Flow FX; MBRP in its Tour profile; Borla S-Type; Corsa Sport; DynoMax Ultra Flo; and a Pypes Violator system.
STAINLESS OR ALUMINIZED?
Both appear on this page, and the listings say which is which. The older-truck Flowmaster systems (1988-2006) are listed as aluminized steel; most newer systems here - the Flow FX, American Thunder and Outlaw kits for 2007 and up, both Corsa systems, the DynoMax and the Pypes - are listed as stainless. Aluminized costs less up front; stainless is the usual pick where road salt and winter use are part of the truck's life. Buy on the material stated in the listing, not on the photo.
WHAT ABOUT SOUND?
Honestly: the product listings on this page do not publish decibel ratings or drone measurements, and sound is the most subjective part of any exhaust choice - the same system reads differently in a regular cab than a crew cab. What we can do is match the series to what you tell us about how the truck is used (daily driver, tow rig, weekend truck). Call us at 213-549-4279 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm PT) and we will talk through the systems on this page against your truck before you spend anything. Every manufacturer here recommends professional installation, and the listings say so - a lift and a second pair of hands make this a much easier job.
QUESTIONS SILVERADO AND SIERRA OWNERS ASK US
Will a cat-back void my warranty or fail emissions? A cat-back leaves the catalytic converter in place and replaces only the piping behind it. Warranty and inspection rules vary, and nothing on this page is a legal guarantee - if either is a deciding factor for your truck, confirm with your dealer or inspection station before ordering.
My truck is a 2019 - is it the new body or the Limited? It matters: the MBRP systems on this page list the 2019 Silverado 1500 Limited / Sierra 1500 Limited separately from the 2019-and-up new-body trucks, and the systems are not interchangeable. Check which one you have (the Limited is the carried-over previous generation) and order against that listing.
Can I install a cat-back myself? Many owners do, with the truck safely lifted and the old system cut or unbolted out - but the manufacturers of these systems recommend professional installation, and rusted factory hardware on older trucks is the usual reason the job takes longer than planned.
